The ethereal New York City has a lot more than what i could witness of it on my first visit.. The bus-subway combo of reaching NYC felt more exciting and view-full.. Got to witness the majestic glassed-structure of "The New York Times" outside Port authority (Interstate bus stand) too. Coming out from the downtown exit, I lost my thoughts wavelength and was taken a back by this sparkling tower, the new world trade center, now called "The Freedom Tower". It sure proved to be victorious now, no more a loss!

The adventurous NYC tour started with "the new york water taxi".. An hour of city's skyline gawking, hearing the guide's blabbering about the city's history, and finally beholding the sight of the American icon- The Statue of Liberty. In short, money well spent ;)

Captivating though shut down store

The Pakistani style cooked chicken over rice with a touch of New York in it was more than delightful to my famished belly. Definitely the best chicken rice I have ever had anywhere and that too from a long queued stall.
Chicken over rice.. drooling!!

Next stop was the astounding American Museum of Natural History. On entering the museum, the massive Dinosaur structure left me flabbergasted and reminded me of the famous "Night at the Museum" movie. The Bernard Family hall of North-American mammals, Asian People, New York City Birds, Saurischian Dinosaurs, African People and many such sections with The Museum shop and Cafe on every floor of the museum was extremely exhilarating.

At the end of the day, we sated over the cosmetic shopping. The store's gratuitous makeover and incredible discounts left me beaming till the next day..

Rock Climbing or Baseball??
Dish-washing or Vaccum cleaning??
Hash brown at Dunkin Donuts or Blueberry muffin from Starbucks??

This desert of iron n cement has more to it then what meets the eye.. Its filled with so many choices.. Should I buy a pair of chocolate booties or red sneakers.. Should I eat at Wendy's or Burger King?? This city never lets your discretion fail, it's always correct, no matter what you choose..
And the number of technology existing on every step you take feels as if I paced into future.. For instance, Dish washing is a much quicker and a hygienic job in America. Scrubbing, then stacking, followed by machine's half an hour water whirlpool, that's it, the job is done! It can surely give a hard competition to our Indian maids ;)
The Methodical approach of this country towards every aspect of life.. from paying your bill at the store to swapping lanes at the highway.. From picking food order at self service eateries to parking a car in a mall is extremely astounding and so friggin organized that I wish if I could evolve my India into one of such developed nations..  Well Ill keep that thought on rest for a while because there is a lot to witness in this country of sumptuousness and a lot to learn..
I will conclude by watering everyone's mouth on the desert I had yesterday and turning them all green out of envy for this overly delectable Cheesecake...

ohh yes.. they tasted as dainty as they look!!

Happy New Year everybody and I wish a brighter and a happier year thirteen :)
